Turn in a brief overview of what you're planning to do for the semester project. Please include the following:

1. A short thesis statement (one or two sentences) that succinctly and clearly summarizes the project.

2. Two or three annotated references (might use MLA Periodicals Index or Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts to find them) that deal with your topic. This will give you some sense of what's already been done, and what still needs to be done.

3. A paragraph or two on how you plan to carry out the project. Include information on what corpus you'll be using and what software you'll be using to carry out the analysis.

You'll turn this in by the beginning of class on Tuesday and I'll then meet with you the following Thursday (March 1).
