Born 1795 At Dunsmore, Stirling, Scotland. Married at age 20 in 1815. To Nova Scotia by about 1826. Returned to Scotland for about five years in the 1830s, and then back to Nova Scotia. To the US in 1842. Baptized in 1842 in Pennsylvania. To Clinton, OH, then to Youngstown OH. May have been heading west to Utah when he died in Appanoose County, Iowa, in 1856 at age of 61.
