Born 1839 at Palermo, Oswego, NY. Married Thomas Tidwell as his first plural wife at the age of 17 in 1855. Mother of thirteen children (nine girls and four boys) born between 1856 and 1879. At Chicken Creek, lived in a dugout with curtains dividing adjoining rooms. Known as being a very good housekeeper. Helped with the ranching. Hers and Elizabeth's family coexisted quite well. Loved reading to the children at night. In 1896, worn out from pioneer life, moved from Colorado to Utah, where she spent the rest of her life living with her children. Died in 1906 at the age of 67 in Salt Lake City, UT.
