Born 1849 at Geneseo, Henry, IL. Brother Charles came to Salt Lake in 1867 as manager of the Western Union Telegraph office. Apparently Jeanette followed him out west, but parents stayed in Illinois. Married at age 30 in 1879. Mother of four children (three boys and a girl) born between 1880 and 1888, two of whom died as children. She was from a very musical family, and was "a pianist of merit". Not a member of the Church. Died at age 43 in Salt Lake City.
