Born 1843 in Mohican Township, Ashland, OH. Possible that her and Jame's two children (Arthur, born 1863, and Morgan, born 1867) did not have the same parents. Census indicates that Arthur was born up north in Wisconsin in 1863. This might indicate that James had gone to Wisconsin during the Civil War (he was 20 at the time), had a child, and then returned to Ohio when the war was over. Never owned any property of his own; even when he had his own family, lived on farm with father and then later with his son Morgan. Died in 1901 at age 57 at Western Star, Summit, OH.
