Born in 1847 (two months premature) at Winter Quarters. As a newborn, was so small that she was carried across the plains in a shoebox. As a young woman, mothered the child of one of her father's plural wives, who had died previously; once had a dream that the deceased mother was coming to take her child to the "other side" - by the morning the child had dead. Married to Thomas Williams at about age 19 in 1864; sealed to him in 1868. Mother of twelve children (three boys and nine girls) born between 1865 and 1888. For a few years, lived in a dugout with dirt floors. Was a seamstress; worked for twenty years or so for the owner of a harness shop, making horse blankets, nose sacks, etc. Known as being a good businesswoman and a persuasive talker. Died in 1909 at age 62 in Emery, Emery, UT after a long bout with stomach problems.
