Born 1866 in Loudonville, Ashland, OH. Married at age 20 in 1887. Mother of seven children (four boys and three girls) born between 1888 and 1902. Died in 1926 at age 59 in Wadsworth, Medina, OH. Known as being a very quiet and private woman, even more than her husband, and also known for being a very good housekeeper. Confirmed a member of the Trinity Reformed Church in 1924, where she was a faithful member. When she died, the obituary stated that she was "an excellent companion and wife, a loving mother, just old-fashioned enough to make the great ideal of her life the care of her family and home, to all of which she gave herself in unstinted devotion and care. For the welfare of her family and home she both labored and prayed to the end. She was also a good neighbor and lived in the highest esteem of all with whom she came in contact."
