Born 1869 in Ephraim, UT. Moved to Mayfield when she was eight. Attendance at school limited, due to care for semi-invalid mother and for her siblings. Studied music at Brigham Young Academy. Met Joseph when he was in his first year as teacher at public school in Mayfield. Married him in 1887 at age 18. Mother of fifteen children (eight boys and seven girls) born between 1888 amd 1917, and also raised three other children whose mothers died early in married life. Sent four children on missions, and two into the military. Served in many church callings. Died in 1957 at age 89 in Los Angeles, CA. Was giften in crocheting, "fancy work", and rug making. Known for having a very clean house. During family home evenings, would often play the piano while Joseph sang.
