1. Texts (Choose a 50-100 word sample. Don't do any of the ones we did as a class. Please give the URL for the text, and PLEASE copy the text into your report)

   4. Tabloid newspaper
   5. Ad (1 2)
   6. Medical article (more journals)
   7. Blogs (example)
   8. General Conference
   9. Tech support
   10. Newspaper editorial (Conservative / Moderate / Liberal)
    

2. Look at the list of linguistics features that may affect "style"
    

3. Apply these features to one of the preceding texts. The basic idea is to determine linguistically what makes this particular text "feel" like it belongs to the given register. Make a list of five different features, including lexical, morphological, and grammatical. For each feature, include a couple of examples or some quantitative support (e.g. calculated sentence length, frequency vs other register, etc)
