Think of an aspect of the English language that you're interested in, and an experiment that you might run to study this.

1. What is the hypothesis?
2. Who would be the subjects? Would there need to be a control group?
3. Would you need any special equipment to run the experiment?
4. Describe the experiment itself and how it would be carried out (maybe a short paragraph)
5. What are two or three things that you think might go wrong, which might invalidate the results?
6. How would you try and account for these?
